“Green Goddess” Food Demo: Kale Salad & Green Smoothie
Pura Vida (Pure Life) Smoothie
1½ cups frozen or fresh pineapple
½ organic cucumber with skin
1 celery stalk
2-3 sprigs of parsley, leaves only
1T Green Magma barley juice powder (optional)
splash of water as needed
Blender (high-power blenders are preferred but not necessary)
-Blend all ingredients together on high until smooth & enjoy!
Very Veg Kale Salad
5-6 kale leaves, ribbed and chopped
¼ tsp. sea salt
2-3T olive oil
½ tsp. lemon juice
dash of garlic powder
¼ cup of your favorite veggies (carrots, red onion, celery, avocado, tomato)
-Place kale in a bowl and sprinkle salt on top.
-Massage salt into kale until desired softness is reached.
-Pour on olive oil, lemon juice, and dash of garlic powder and mix until coated.
(At this point you can store your kale salad in the refrigerator for up to a week and then sprinkle on your choice of veggies when you are ready to eat.)
-Sprinkle on veggies and enjoy!

Ooh, I’ll have to try that smoothie! Sounds super yum 🙂 I have to try and eat more raw (I’m vegan), I do enjoy it and always have so much more energy when I make the effort to do it… I don’t know why I don’t more often!
